The location is great and in the centre. However, it is quiet with minimal traffic noise. The gardens are lovely and it was a real treat to be able to eat dinner and breakfast outside - the food was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I just wish wed been able to stay longer to enjoy more of the facilities.

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was brilliant, very easy to get to all the main attractions. The breakfast, we felt, was rather expensive for what was available, but the setting of the garden was gorgeous. The decor of the corridors of the hotel were very basic, just white.

The hotel is in a good location if you enjoy walking, what we do, so it was perfect. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the design and yard is beautiful.

I was here several years ago and remembered it as blissful especially breakfasting in the idyllic garden and swimming in the pool. In fact, I wondered if returning and risking not have quite such a special experience would spoil my wonderful memories. I need not have worried. My stay was just as special as the first and and thinking back to my times there gives me much joy.

A exceptionally well-run elegant hotel in a good location. The interior decor and the garden are quirky and unique, the staff are extraordinarily charming and helpful and its in a great location, not too noisy and only a few minutes to the beach. The restaurant, with dinner served in the garden is certainly worth experiencing.

The staff were amazing especially the housecleaning staff. The rooms were extremely clean when we arrived but the cleaning service on a daily basis was outstanding!

The staff were so friendly and helpful (and patient with my poor French!). The location for me was excellent. It was 10-15 mins walk from main shopping area, 10 mins to area with lots of restaurants amd maybe 20 mins walk to beach. There is a wee shop a few doors down if you wanted snacks, fruit etc. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Welcome gift and drink was a lovely touch. Although I didn't use it, there is a beautiful outdoor terrace with lots of greenery and a pool area as well. It is a really interesting hotel with lots of unusual artwork.

Great location with easy walk to train station and beach plus loads of restaurants . The highlight though was the super friendly and knowledgeable staff who were so warm, welcoming and helpful, lending us mats to help with the pebbly beach and booking us fabulous restaurants.
